Two days. One goal: sharpen your Human Remains Detection (HRD) skills under the guidance of one of the nation’s most accomplished K9 professionals.
Sentinel Detection K9 proudly presents a two-day intensive seminar led by Kathleen Kelsey, Canine Search Specialist with FEMA Missouri Task Force One and Online Learning Director at the Center for Forensic Training and Education (CFTE).
This working seminar is designed for SAR handlers and their HRD dogs seeking to refine their operational capabilities in the field. Whether you're preparing for deployment, certification, or advanced training, this event will push your team to grow with focused, real-world challenges.
Spots are limited to ensure hands-on instruction and real-time coaching. Early registration is recommended. For those committed to operational excellence, this is a must-attend opportunity to train with one of the best in the field.
Seminar Focus:
Reading and interpreting your dog’s changes of behavior (COB)
Managing scent puzzles in complex and transitional environments
Scent aging, depth, accessibility, and environmental variables
Building confident, independent, and operationally ready K9s
Strengthening the handler’s decision-making in active search scenarios
Customized coaching and scenario-based problem solving
This seminar is suitable for intermediate to advanced HRD teams. Teams will work in both individual and group scenarios with personalized feedback throughout.
